You are invited to an incredible winter yoga retreat to be held January 11-17, 2009 at the beachfront Shambala Petit Hotel in Tulum, Mexico!
Immerse yourself in the healing ocean, run or walk on white sand beaches, and dive into your yoga practice to experience and embody healing and profound transformation! Yoga open to all levels; Morning practice will challenge you to expand your repertoire and afternoon practices will deepen your experience with hip openers, forward bends, and twists. Inversions and long guided savasanas will be offered with live music to feed your soul and nurture your Spirit.
Teachers: Elizabeth Brown from Cambridge, MA and Adela Pablos of Mexico City, Mexico; we are both dedicated Anusara-Inspired Teachers and avid practioners; we met at a training two years ago. Together we weave our love and respect for the natural world and the infinite possibilites of expansion that the yoga offers into our teaching. As one of us teaches, the other assists and gives fabulous adjustments to all students. Pranayama and Meditation each morning; fire ceremony and kirtan included in the week.
Yoga Schedule - all sessions are of course optional
9:00-12 noon Morning Practice
12:30pm Lunch
5:00-7:00pm Evening Practice
7:30pm Dinner
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
The following are available at extra cost: guided tour of the historic Mayan city of Coba followed by a cooling swim in a freshwater cenote, healing bodywork, shopping in Tulum or Playa del Carmen, bike tour, kayaking, and diving. Keep scrolling down for more venue information...
ABOUT SHAMBALA PETIT HOTEL
Shambala Petit Hotel offers a beachfront boutique hotel experience. It is located on a large property with ten 'bohemian chic' decorated casitas, which are open to white sand beaches of the Caribbean and private bathrooms.
Shambala Petit Hotel is located in the Tulum, which is a short two-hour transfer from Cancun International Airport which is serviced by many airlines with non-stop flights of four hours.
